Course Overview

This course combines the Configuring Aruba Instant AP (CAI) and the Managing Campus Network with Aruba Central (MCNC) courses and is designed to provide students the knowledge, skills and practical experience required to set up and configure an IAP cluster with WLAN and also configure and manage an IAP cluster and ArubaOS Switch using Aruba Central.

Using lecture and labs, the class provides the technical understanding and hands-on experience of configuring a cluster of IAPs, with 802.1X, Captive portal WLANs, and Firewall settings and IAP and user troubleshooting skills. Other topics covered are advanced services such as ARM, Mesh setup, VPN to a controller, Roaming between clusters, and IDS/IPS. This IAP class can be coupled with an Airwave or Central class for management and configuration purposes.

Participants will view the Aruba Central advanced analytics services and connectivity health of devices and clients, providing insights into Wi-Fi analytics for smart business decisions. Understand how to simplify visitor access management with a fully secure and scalable guest access including guest cloud services. Students also discover the comprehensive alert management, device connectivity, network health, and user account activity with Aruba Central.
